As much as I wanted to walk away about this topic, I just couldn’t because everyone who called Good Times With Mo today talks about Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De La Hoya fight. And no matter how hard Mojo Jojo and Grace Lee tried to end the topic, they just couldn’t because the latter is so fresh and everybody wants to talk about it.

Anyway, I was so lucky to watch the fight “LIVE” in cable. Some dude from our cable provider just got a heart big as Pacquiao’s that he aired the fight in 2 channels. Thank you very much dude.

Before the start of the fight, we were talking about Pacquiao, to have a hard time beating De La Hoya, that if he could not knock De La Hoya down, he’s gonna lost by split decision. Well, it’s what everyone expected. Every boxing analyst has given their opinions and nobody made an exact prediction. Most of the opinions favored De La Hoya.

But the unexpected happened, the under dog Manny Pacquiao beat De La Hoya real bad. It was the worst beating De La Hoya had in his boxing career. Almost all jobs and hooks that Manny released landed perfectly on De La Hoya’s face and body. There were times when De La Hoya became more agressive when he attacks Manny, but everytime Manny throws a fake jab, De La Hoya just walks away like it’s gonna hit him hard again. All the time, Oscar is very unsure of his moves. The only thing that happened as expected was how it was aired in GMA7. :)

I don’t want to talk about the involved “money” in this fight, because no matter how the negotiation went, they were both million-dollars richer. This is all about the fighters ego, and Oscar lost big time. The fact that he was going down on the 9th round was too embarassing, much more embarassing was that he was unable to even start the round anymore.

I know this post is not very detailed, because I admit, I did not focus on the fight itself, but trying to spot Mo Twister from the crowd. He said he has got a good seat but I honestly couldn’t find him. Maybe he’s bowing down like he said he always do. Let’s just all get excited for his comeback tomorrow for his opinions and amazing stories.
