D Cup for the World Cup

Like the classic Road Master game, when you score high you will see Superman pass by. Larissa Riquelme is trying to make the same setup for the World Cup. She said that if Paraguay wins World Cup, she will run through its capital city with nothing on. Only some body paint.

In the search of a good Basketball Shoes

My Good 'ol Puma

For the past weeks, I’ve been in the search of a new basketball shoes. My white Puma has been my best friend for years for casual/running/basketball activities. Last year it showed a sign of giving up so I immediately called Mr. Quickie for a repair. It has served its purpose being the best basketball shoes I’ve ever had.

I’m looking for a low-mid cut basketball shoes. I’m better in fastbreaks and I run faster on low-cuts. I’ve tried wearing hi-cuts before but it did not work well for me. But nevertheless, I still consider any type of shoes just as long my feet are comfortable.

Reebok Re-Up Sneaker.

The first one I drooled with is this Reebok Re-up sneaker convertible which I know I could hang out good. It’s not a basketball shoes but I feel it would serve me just right when it comes to running fast. It is double-stitched around and it’s gonna last long for sure. And it’s cool, I can have 2 shoes in one. There’s a rear panel I can remove and attach whenever I want.

KD2 - Kevin Durant

Another one is the KD2 but it looks like kiddie shoes so I kinda like it but don’t like it. I try-fit and the shoes it felt good to wear ‘em. I’m just a bit not happy of the leatherette. The sole is soft but I still don’t agree to the value for money.

Nike Zoom - Kobe Bryant

Kobe IV & V are also considered but I think I don’t have the balls to wear them. I would feel like I have to be as cocky as Kobe when I play. And I don’t deliver like he does. And besides, despite Kobe’s brilliant moves and incredible scoring stats, more people still hate him and I don’t want them to think I’m a big fan.

Jordan Phly Legends

My most considered so far is the Jordan Phly Legend. However, it’s super hi-cut and I’m risking comfortability on this one. But it also has the best value for my money because I’m getting it at 30% off. I’ve tried walking on it in the store and the soles are a bit hard. It doesn’t bend good and I’m not sure if I can perform well on this one. But still, I like it. It’s Jordan and although I can’t deliver like he does in the court, I just wouldn’t care. I’ll just wear ‘em. And besides, I still got my good old Puma with me in case of emergency.

If you have anything to recommend while I haven’t decided yet, please let me know.

Clottey proves he can survive from Pacquiao’s attack

Pacquiao and the giant punching bag

After the interrupted Pacquiao – Mayweather bout few months ago, Team Pacquiao decided to go for the bigger Joshua “Grandmaster” Clottey. It was very obvious that it’s not the fight people want to see, which makes it not exciting at all even during the fight night.

Manny Pacquiao dominated over Clottey with his super speed and strong punches, Saturday night at the Cowboy Stadium in Dallas Texas. But Clottey is really rock solid. He played a good defense that even Pacquiao’s combos did not work. But the thing is, Clottey was just there to stand and serve as a giant punching bag for Manny. As Freddie Roach said, you can’t win by good defense alone.

It also looked like there’s only one thing Joshua Clottey wanted to prove: that he can take Pacquiao’s punches and he’s too strong to be knocked out. During the interview, he told that Manny did not hurt him at all and that’s what he trained for. He also thinks he did his best because Manny was knocking out every of his past opponents.

On one of the pre-fight interviews, Clottey told that Manny is not going to attack. Instead, he will be attacking Manny. But it’s obviously did not happen. From the time Clottey entered the ring, the only thing he had on mind was to survive.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao

bullfight

bullfight

The highest paying match in the boxing history is likely gonna happen this coming March 2010 between our very own Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Both fighters are undeniably the best of the best, ranking the first and the second in the pound for pound race.

An analogy that best describes the two is the Bull and the Matador, Pacquiao being the fast and strong bull, and Mayweather as the wise Matador. In most cases, the matador wins, but let’s see how the result will turn out after the fight night.

A video showing how good a matador Mayweather is, below:
