I quit on role playing games after I finished Diablo II expansion years back [except for that role playing you also know]. I played at home because of boredom. There was no internet. After that, I never played any RPG again. So don’t talk about Ragnarok, DOTA in front of me.

When Diablo III was announced in 2008, I thought I’ll be back in the gaming world, but unluckily this ‘sh’ is still unreleased.

The Comeback of Mo Twister

Mo was out the whole week last week to recover from flu, and he’s now back with same energy. His energy also brought the two girls more alive and of course the show. Games, interesting stories, new updates also became available again from my earphone.

Interview with the boxer

When I tuned in, Mo Twister was playing a recorded interview with a boxer who sounds like Money Mayweather Jr. which was probably actually him. I didn’t catch the whole interview and I’m so frustrated.

Free iPhone

A university based in Japan is providing free iPhone to students of informatics, basically to keep track of the students’ presence in the campus. The device will also be used in electronic lectures and taking examinations. Cool.

MySandbox Cash In The Box

Winning instant money from a radio show or any TV show has never been easy. Not in Good Times With Mo. There’s a new game being played, and as far as I know will be played regularly, which is pretty much the easiest game ever if you only listen to the show. The mechanics is very simple. Mo Twister will call a random number, asked the receiver the amount of the jackpot, and if the receiver answered the exact amount, he or she wins.

Knowing how much the amount of the jackpot is even easier. Mo posts the clue on his MySandbox blog, and announce it on the show. The hardest part is waiting for your number to be called.

MySandbox.com is a new online community site/store/etc which I think is sponsoring the game. Not sure about this but the plugging it gets from Mo Twister somehow tells it. That’s a very good marketing strategy of MySandbox.

Creating a MySandbox account is also very easy. You just need to fillout a form, provide your mobile number and submit the form. You will then receive the activation code on you mobile right away and you will need to activate your account. That’s simply it.

We know that only by listening to Good Times With Mo (GTWM) will your day be complete. And that only gives you 4 complete days each week since it doesn’t play on weekends including Fridays. I have something with me that could make your day at least half-complete during those days without GTWM.

Last Saturday, me and my wife attended the Skycable Digibox launch, which features their DigiBox (obviously) and 2 other new services of Skycable which are the SkyVoice – Landline provider the cheapest call rates to US and Canada at 1 peso per minute. With your analog Skycable you might notice that it’s a bit annoying surfing channels from Channel 6 up to above 100 channels, and for sure, you do not memorize all the channels you have available. You can also even get detailed information about the show you currently view, plus the info about the next shows as well.

Viewing show schedules on each channel is also a breeze with DigiBox. And it don’t just show the schedule for the day but for the whole week. How’s that?

Locking channels that are not children appropriate is also one of the nicest features you could ever want. And you can surely get that only from DigiBox.

For the not-so techies out there, the Digibox works only with a digital line. So if your current SkyCable subscription is analog, it will first have to be converted to digital, before you could use the DigiBox. But it shouldn’t be a problem to you because it’s all SkyCable’s concern. All the info being fetched into the DigiBox come from the SkyCable’s EPG Server, EPG stands for Electronic Program Guide.

According to Roy Montinola, Marketing VP, SkyCable plans to provide Video On Demand (VOD) service to its subscribers, though there’s no date mentioned yet of its availability. Negotiations between them and channel providers and copyrights are already in the works. Contents are still being gathered for the service to make possible. Also, subscribers will see more and more of HD (High Definition) programs in the coming year. Sky already piloted the service with the telecast of red golf cup last September in HD format. So if you’re a golf enthusiast, you might know this already. On the other hand, Event Host TJ Mantoc also mentioned that ABS-CBN is prepared for HD format content as well. He said that UAAP will be fed in HD format in the coming future, and going to watch the game live might just only be in second option for basketball fans. Skycable is pretty much ready for anything, it’s just we have to wait until all the features we want finalize.

Now, a Digibox is a must have for every home, but it also involves additional amount for installation and the box itself. It was a rather exciting episode of Good Times with Mo today, as the Beatbox competition for Lenovo IdeaPad S10 ended successfully. The mechanics for the contest was very simple. You just have to call the show and beatbox your tune of Rihanna’s single, Disturbia. A lot of great beatboxers called in and they were terribly good and entertaining. Of course if there were the good ones, there were also a bunch of callers who messed up the contest. They were horrible, yet entertaining as well. Yes, I admit I was one of the horrible beatboxers who attempted the chance to win the netbook earlier on the show. It was my first ever attempt to beatbox in my whole life, just for the IdeaPad S10.

I wasn’t expecting it to be a beatbox competition, as they usually do a much easier contest like the last time they did for Asus Eee PC where they gathered all the students who visit the show and make them battle their way to success, via category game. The hardest that I thought of was “Ang Yabang Mo“, where you have to kiss-ass Mo Twister for a minute.

Well, it was a really great episode today even without the hot Korean DJ, Grace Lee. Congratulations to Pikoy who got Mo Twisters heart and won the Lenovo IdeaPad S10.

Mojo Jojo was telling about this during the whole week. Still no confirmed date when the prize will be given, but it’s most probably just need some minor arrangements with Lenovo, and I know it won’t take long.

Kitchie Nadal guested today on Good Times with Mo, Magic 89.9. Mojo Jojo and Kitchie Nadal played the usual challenge they play whenever a songwriter is guesting. Mo chose 3 songs then Mojo and Kitchie Nadal will put a totally different rendition on the lyrics.

The first song was Big Girls Don’t Cry by Fergie. I vote for Mojo. It was awesome.

The next song was Umbrella by Rihanna and I vote for Mojo again. He was awesome.

The third was Because of You by Ne-Yo and again, I vote for Mojo.

Why did I vote for Mojo? Just being honest, he put more efforts on his rendition than Kitchie Nadal. He squeezed more notes and lyrics more properly than Kitchie. Kitchie’s renditions were not bad. I liked it actually but the thing is, there’s not too much effort. I hope you know what I mean.

This morning, the DJ’s happened to talk about sex tapes, sex scandals. and more. And they suddenly came of an idea…

The one who can bring the best personal sex tape to the show tomorrow will win FREE Maroon 5 tickets. And listeners started to confirm if they were serious about the sex tape because it’s like they are really coming to the show tomorrow and show their best. Mojo will be the judge.

Today on the show, they have an Extreme Magic Sing and players will have to sing on air to win it. There were three good singers but I wasn’t able to witness who the winner is. But I vote for the third. She’s a girl and she sings very well with style and she has a good voice. The choice of song was also perfect.

The other girl sang “So Slow” by Freestyle but she was actually fast. She has a good voice, a daughter of an “areglo” or song arranger on concerts.

I wasn’t able to hear the first, he was a guy but according to their conversation, he seems better than the one who sang So Slow and consistent with the other girl.

OT: Somebody called, suggested something for the show. He  suggested to have a “Good Times Trivia Game”. Mo liked his suggestion and gave the caller 5,000 worth of Gerry’s Grill Gift Certificate. So Easy, isn’t it?

Somebody called yesterday, played “Ang Yabang Mo”, stuttered a bit when Mo said that Call Centers are sex farms, but made it and kissed Mo’s ass for a minute then won a Samsung Mobile Phone right away. Wow. No sweat.
